Another in this series, as always illustrated by DaiGaijin and colored/edited by me.

Sakura (Street Fighter) and Momoko (King of Fighters XI), both of which are the high school combatants of their proper franchises, come together so that Momoko can teach Sakura how to dance capoeira. Probably should have made sure that the dancing area was not cluttered with debris first, ladies! Now they're both getting a lesson in a different style of dancing :D

A year ago I stubbed my pinky toe against a hard heavy surface. Never been the same since.

Poor Momoko, guess she needs a brand new dance, the ouchie step! :D

As for Sakura though, yeah, guess she deserves it. ;p

Sakura's a pretty terrible character, both in her "story" and her design, so I agree, she does deserve it. Not to mention she's just another clone in a game that's full of clones, move-wise.

Momoko's awesome though. Great design, fun move-set and she's adorable. And she's amazingly well-animated considering the limitations of the engine they used for KoFXI :D

Now I'm rambling though, so I'll just say thank you for all the comments!

The Atmoswave hardware KOFXI was used on is actually pretty advanced, it's basically on par if not better than a Dreamcast and ran games such as the Guilty Gear X/XX series, Sengoku Basara X, and Hokuto no Ken. S

Oh yeah, the hardware was great, but SNK-Playmore stuck with using the same engine/system for basically all their games at the time, I'm assuming as it was less costly for them.

It's like how I use my pretty powerful PC to run Doom 2 :(

Yeah, SNK chose to continue using low resolution sprites, even though they could of done high resolution like Guilty Gear.

Although the year before they showed they could produce high resolution sprites in KOF94 Re-Bout, although they weren't exactly "new", they just re-drew the same sprites but at a higher resolution to allow for more finer details. It wasn't well received though, nor would we see true brand new high resolution sprites from SNK until almost 4 years later.

I never did play Re-Bout...I kind of want to now for the nostalgia. But man...I still remember the day they first unveiled KOFXII and showed us the sprites. I fell out of my chair, and even now when I play XIII I still can't believe how good it looks.

Re-Bout isn't that great lol. The sprites look ok, but the background and presentation is horrendus, and at the end of the day, it's just KOF94 with prettier sprites, so the gameplay isn't great compare to later KOF's.

And yeah, I had the same reaction when I first saw KOFXII.
